Companies are battling it out always with their new phones, tablets, laptops, TVs and so much more
nowadays that it's almost hard to keep up! But no worries, there's guys like me who will keep you up to date always :) Lately Samsung has been really pushing with their new Note 3 phone, Tablets and more.
But just recently Samsung banged out their New Samsung Galaxy S5!!!! Seriously, it's like it's from out of this world!!!! (Well, not really, okay it kinda is, especially with these kickin features) Let's go through it together; through basics with some added points of view, I mean this is my blog after all right..
In recent years smaller has been better. iPhone came out with the iPad Air, the slimmer iPhone, then we came into a phase of ultra-thin books, smaller was better. But some companies are taking a different route, bigger screen, but thinner phone such as the Galaxy S5 we are talking about here. Now keeping in mind you can easily direct yourself to the Samsung website and bang out these specifications yourself, it might be funnier just getting the basic facts from here, quicker and better and maybe a giggle or two. :)
The Galaxy S5 sits at an 8.1 MM thickness, a 73 MM width and 142 MM length. That's a pretty large phone if you ask me! Compared to the scrawny iPhone 5S which sits at 7.6 MM thickness, 124 MM length and 59 MM width. The Galaxy S5 looks like a giant in front of it!! Should Apple be scared? OK, I can't bash on Apple. Love those things too much, but anyways, by the end of this post. I'm really hoping Apple will UP their game with the new iPhone 6, cause my faithfulness to my iPhone will always remain in tact, regardless of the competitors companies new additions.
The Galaxy S5 sits at 146 G and the iPhone sits at 112 G of weight. Samsung had to sacrifice the weight and the size in order to really give their product a different feel for a phone. As to where Apples goal has always been sleek, sexy and modern looking.
S5 has a far more powerful take on the iPhone as it does have a bigger screen , allowing more space to see we pages, read, play games and do all that we do on our handy dandy smartphones, aka our life operators.
Now something I find cool and interesting with the new line of Samsung is the faux leather on the back,but the Galaxy S5 comes with "pleathered" or dimpled leather which is a fascinating choice on Samsung's behalf... It's sort of a new texture besides the simple aluminum iPhones all have which isn't a bad or good thing in my opinion! It also comes in different colors, "Shimmery White" , "Electric Blue" and "Charcoal Black" and "Copper Gold". To be honest they all look super sleek and great, I think that there might be rumors of other colors sorta following the iPhone 5C trend ! But thank you, I'll stick to my White and Black, boring I know, but coordination and match everyday I like :)
Some new Features such as Fast Auto Focus for photos cause we all know nowadays, whatever we're doing wherever we are, we like to quickly grab our photos and snap something random and it can be blurry :( but Seriously, take a look at your camera roll. I guarantee you there's at least 100 random shots you THOUGHT at the time were important. Okay, maybe they are still important, but that Fast Auto Focus might come in handy :) so if you're that, I have to Instagram / Tweet / Facebook, Message every possible Moment, dinner and drink you're having take a look at this phone :)
HDR Rich Tone and selective Focus is also for you photo lovers, it allows you to blur out backgrounds in photos, and the HDR allows you to naturally enrich the picture if it's shaded.
Now this is something that I personally LOVE about the Galaxy S5!!! How many of you have gone to the gym and heard about the heart rate ministers which track calorie burn through heart rate? But you have to wear that strap around your waist, have the watch, and your phone all at the same time, with your headphones in your ears? It's annoying. I would know. Probably you do too! So Samsung equipped the Galaxy with spits own HRM! Just place your finger on the back of the sensor, and equip it with the app S Health, you can track all your workout routines and really push yourself for all us health fanatics and gym rats :). But don't forget to pair it with the Samsung Gear :) Gear Fit is a watch that you wear where you could answer calls, view your home screen and it can even tell you to "Speed Up" while you're getting your sweat on :)
Nowadays also we want everything NOW and FAST! So with the Download Booster, you can use LTE and Wifi simultaneously to download faster because Samsung has placed an MIMO ( Multi-Input, Multi-Output) which means two WiFi connections, which means DOUBLE the speed. Whoo-Hoo!!!! You can get the APP faster...
Dust and Water Resistant will make sure that there's nothing that can hurt your precious phone :) summers coming, so there will be water, sand and even that yucky sweat :) so with Samsung's IP67, they guarantee that nothing will damage your baby. So when IPhone unveiled the 5S everyone was fascinated with the new fingerprinting to keep everything secure , or ya know, from your curious girlfriends or boyfriends :) no accusations here, but the GS5 offers you to make payments and unlock capabilities just with a fingerprint touch. Now seriously, how easy can life get nowadays?
Finally the power saving mode is a life saver. It allows for your phone to shut down features not being used in order to extend your battery life. We all know that if your phone dies, your life may end as we know it.
Now besides these features, the 2.5 GHz Quad Processor allows for faster speeds, it uses Android 4.4 KitKat and it even stores 2 GB RAM and LTE Cat.4 allowing it to load everything you need NOW and FAST!!
With a slim and beautiful bezel, the phone looks sleek and sexy. Full HD. Better camera, 16 MP. Fit Application. New colors. Seriously what else do you want? What else can we PUT on phones to make our lives THAT much easier?
Now with all that and depending on your carrier, we are all wondering what it costs to own this baby? Well unfortunately it still hasn't been released to purchase yet. It's recently been approved by the FCC since it's been released.
So, no I'm not getting paid to advertise this, though I wish I was. But to be honest, I can't wait for this! I want one! Debating about the blue or the white.

ReplyDeleteYeah i agree with you. I actually have a note 3 and loving it. Sorry to say that but they didn't inform about the price yet coz it hasn't been released yet.
