PlayStation 4....You know you want one !

Well, well, well. If it isn't Sony releasing their latest revolutionary toy...the PS4 in exactly 7 days from now since the reveal of it in February in New York.
We are all awaiting this greatness to come so we can buy it, play with it all night, and enjoy its mere beauty sitting next to our Plasma TVs. Ah....what a beautiful thought.

Ok, snap out of it! Back to reality...let's talk detail...pricing...games...new additions...and the whole bundle !
Just by visiting the Sony website...the link to the PS4 site states, "Greatness Awaits"...but let's discuss how much greatness really awaits...or is it just a new release like Apple did with their new iPad Air . But of course I wasn't bashing on Apple and I'm surely not here to bash on Sony either . All their products have been in my life in some point in time and I have enjoyed them and will continue to enjoy.

I'm not going to go into too much detail...(don't wanna lose you here) but I want to provide you with the best possible information in order to give you a different point of view.

Now, to compare the two visually, there is a difference in outside beauty; in my opinion the PS4 does have more of "cooler" edge to it. It seems slimmer, and looks a bit more modern I suppose you could say. It can stand upright or be flattened out as it is straight cut on the edges rather than the PS3 which was rounded on some points. Sony will continue to debut the PS in it's black and blue colors but who knows, maybe feature colors will come out, I mean Apple released iPhone C right with all it's crazy colors? But it's all about the inner personality right?  Well...of course!
Let's dive in.

PS4 is said to be 9X faster than the PS3...the Central Processing Unit (CPU) uses Low Power X86 AMD Jaguar 64 bit...whereas to the PS3 it uses CELL BE, Toshiba, Cell Broadband Engine; now THAT'S an upgrade! The small chip will allow for more lengthy games to be processed better than the PS3 which seemed to be an issue at some points.  It's said to be almost like a PC, with it's inner personality, but of course not exactly as it.

The Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) of the PS4 uses AMD Radeon Graphics Core NExt Engine ; 1.84 T-Flops, whereas
the PS3 uses 1.8 T-Flops floating point performance as well as the RSX "Reality Synthesizer" @ 550MHZ. No more waiting for the saved game to load when you've tired yourself..just wait for it to resume from Standby and continue on with your virtual gaming world.

Ok, bear with me. I know it may get a little boring, but we are just getting to the more fun parts!

There's a 8GGB GDDRS Ram on the PS4 allowing a bit more storage space whereas to the PS3 it contained 256MB depending on storage you selected.

They both still have HDMI, Analog AV-OUT Option, and Digital Output.
The PS3 used HI-SPEED (USB 2.0) and the great and almighty PS4 uses SUPER SPEED with 3. USB availability. Blu-Ray and DVD is also supported through the Optical Drive.

Well, isn't that fancy Sony?
Both contain ethernet, allowing for Wireless. PS4 has a small upgrade of Bluetooth 2.1 where PS4 has 2.0.

Now here it comes...the controllers!!! You've GOT to admit they look PRETTY COOL! The greatest addition is the TOUCHPAD!!!! The Start and Select buttons have been combined into one Options button.
How snazzy is that? The new highly sensitive 6 axis sensors which allows for more of a gaming experience! And now, for the share button allowing you and I to quickly share our performance with our fellow PS4 friends...(because we are now in a world where sharing every aspect of our lives is a MUST!). The gamer can pause , record what was just played using UStream then upload to popular social networks such as Facebook. The 3.5 mm headphone socket which allows for better communication, (or simply use the microphone on the controller)  and the ability to tap your friends in to help you out with beating a particular point in the game where you're stuck...(just admit it, we've all been there). Also, there are lights on the front and back of the controller...which are pretty neat to me; but not only for looks as they are made to be used for better detection for better gaming experience. The light bars help you to detect who is who in a multi-player game, as well as help notify you when you're losing health or something else. That might be easier to see, rather than the one on the PS3, that small box...sigh, that was a pain to watch for.

Camera specs have been improved, the new "Eye Camera" which includes dual cameras with a 85 degree wide angle field of vision. This will provide the gamer to be located from anywhere in the room (maybe you're running to the kitchen to gram some chips) , and identify the light bars that were discussed before on the DualShock 4 controllers for exact coordinates to where the player is positioned.
Included, the 4 microphones will allow the player to be detected and where they are coming from as well as of course like any other digital device; Face Recognition. Well, well, well. Sony, you've really improved this huh?

Well, whats the point of the console if there aren't any cool games to use? Sony stated there will be over 140 games to be debuted that will be compatible with the new PS4 such as Assassin's Creed, and NBA 2K14 and way more than I can include.

So...with all this fancy stuff? How much does this beast come out to?
On the Sony website it sits at $519.97 which is a bundle with an option of a game of KNACK or, KILLZONE; whatever tickles your fancy.
Well, that's a big grand total to spend hours of time sitting playing a virtual game. But heck, we get the joy of escaping real life right?
There's also the options to subscribe to the Online gaming world of PlayStation such as XBOX live, but that's at your discretion.

Well. I hope I've provided you with enough helpful information. I hope to update as soon as I get the chance to get my hands on one and test it for real...but until then...let's all just patiently wait these last few days...ah, just picture it in your room sitting on your shelf...and all your friends coming over to enjoy it.

Ok. Snap out of it. $519 is quite a bit, but heck, seems like it would be worth it.
Enjoy!
